Liga Clean Water Project
The CLEAN WATER PROJECT is a cooperative effort to establish safe and clean water for the rural people of northern Sinaloa, México through the installation of Biosand filters and health and sanitation training in targeted villages.
Phase I (2016-2022) is now complete, with 750 Hydraid™ and concrete filters installed throughout communities in Northern Sinaloa. We have had no reports of water borne disease in these areas since installation and training. Please check our website www.ligacleanwater.org for more info.
Currently, two volunteers in each village oversee filter maintenance, and will notify us if there are disease outbreaks.
At that time, we will initiate further training and installation if we have an adequate volunteer base.
If you are able to work with us on a few mission trips and/or have skills in construction, water filtration, water hygiene or sanitation, please email me and we will notify you if we are starting up again. Note: at this time, no further donations are requested or required.
