There are no food banks in Sinaloa, no social security or other safety nets - especially for the indigenous in rural villages.
We have a trusted and organized ground support in El Fuerte and San Blas areas that, starting in November 2020, will distribute boxes of nutrient-dense foods to up to an 1,000 people most in need, including the Sinaloa Tarahumara. Included in the boxes are adult and child vitamins, soaps, toothbrushes and paste.
From November 2020 to April 2021 ( 6 months) you can help provide food assistance to those who, because of winter unemployment or COVID-19, have no food and no income.
Over 1,000 of the most deserving will get regular food boxes with high quality proteins, grains, fruits and vegetables and often including vitamins, soaps and toothbrushes.
We have a solid ground support team, we have obtained high-quality nutrient-dense foods wholesale.
100% of all donation go directly to a needy family.

Though our scheduled missions are on hold due to COVID restrictions, Liga is still involved in helping.
Our people are struggling with COVID, winter cold, and lack of food resources. Because there are no food banks or health safety nets in northern Sinaloa for the rural indigenous, we have begun distributing nutrient-dense food, vitamins and health care supplies to between 1,500 and 2,000 people per month.
Our generous donors have inspired us! Many destitute people will receive sustenance until the end of April, when the weather warms and crops are planted, and we are encouraged to help more people. Beginning January 202, 200 families (1,500-2,000 per month) will receive supplies.
Whether you choose to support a small village, or help supply toothbrushes and vitamins, every little bit counts. We are an all-volunteer organization and every penny goes directly to our people.
